Walsall captain Tommy Mooney today tipped teenager Mark Bradley as a star of the future and predicted that bigger clubs will soon take an interest in the midfielder.
Bradley has won plaudits from fans and team mates after making his long-awaited first team breakthrough in the last week.
And Mooney reckons the Wales under-21 international has the talent to perform on a bigger stage.
"The kids have done very well in the last week and 'Bradders' has got a chance of being a top player," said Mooney.
"You just hope he will continue to keep his head down and impress and while he is in the team people are looking at him.
"At the moment he needs to impress our manager and if he does that it makes it hard to drop him from the team."
Mooney also spoke for the first time since being confirmed as the new Saddlers captain.
"I enjoy the responsibility and I'm appreciative that the manager sees that that is in me," said the 36-year-old.
"I was club captain at my previous club and being given the armband is an honour for any footballer.
"I'm delighted to take it and I will enjoy the responsibility and work hard to keep it."
