Stafford Rangers v GraysStafford Rangers aim to satisfy the cravings of their Marston Road fans - by giving them a home victory to cheer.

Rangers are on an unbeaten three match run, but their only success in the Blue Square Premier so far has been at Weymouth.

Tomorrow they tackle on-fire Forest Green with a mission not only to please the supporters, but also close the gap on the clubs in the league's safety zone.

Manager Phil Robinson said: "Anyone playing Forest Green at the moment is going to be tested, but we're relishing the prospect.

"We're on a 3-game unbeaten run and that is no mean feat for anybody in this division. We feel we've been unlucky not to win or draw games before."

"Now, finally, we're getting some rewards and hopefully we can continue that.

"It would be nice for the home supporters to be rewarded with a victory and hopefully that will come soon," said Robinson.

However, Forest Green are the league's current form team having claimed the scalps of promotion chasers Cambridge and Stevenage in the last two matches and, under former Morecambe boss Jim Harvey, are making their own push for League status.

Rangers' veteran striker Neil Grayson is still regarded as a 'living legend' by the Green's fans - and could get a recall to the starting line up.

First-choice David McNiven will undergo a fitness check on a back strain and if he fails it, Grayson is an obvious choice.

Robinson, though, is still hoping to recruit further reinforcements: "We would like a couple of players in to strengthen the squad before we feel we can compete strongly with the other clubs in this division and we are still working hard on that," he said.
