Worcs all-rounder gets deal

Worcestershire all-rounder Daryl Mitchell has signed a 12-month extension to his current contract which will keep him at New Road until the end of the 2009 season.

The 23-year-old averaged 43 with the bat in the LV County Championship despite their relegation from Division One and also made useful contribution with the ball.

"I am a Worcestershire lad and I want to play for the club for many years to come," he said.
