Chasetown changes for Cup

Chasetown are set to ring the changes for tonight's Errea Southern League Cup clash at home to Bedworth (7.45pm).

Manager Charlie Blakemore is likely to hand starts to many of his fringe players to give them vital match practice and the chance to gatecrash his table-topping side before Saturday's big FA Cup clash at Cambridge City.

Kevin Thompson, John Branch, Ben Twigger, Russell Peel, Matt Sargeant, Danny Smith, Sam Smith and Karl Edwards could all come into contention.

"This season I've got a squad of around 20 who are all quality players and it's important for me that they all play as regularly as possible," said Blakemore.

"In fairness to the lads, they've given us the best start to a season Chasetown has ever had, so it's been difficult to change things, but tonight people have a chance to shine."
