Stourbridge saw their improved run come to an emphatic end as Leighton ran out convincing winners with three second-half goals.

The visitors took a 47th minute lead when Lewis Solly was caught out when Liam Howley flicked a long throw on and the presence of one of his Leighton team-mates caught out the Glassboys custodian who allowed the ball to trickle past him.

Stourbridge fell further behind on 65, again falling foul of a long throw flicked on for Charlie Cunningham to bury a low shot past Solly.

Nine minutes later Higgins wriggled his way through before finishing.

Stourbridge host Malvern in the Errea Southern League Cup first round tomorrow (7.45pm).
