Cup clash is huge for Pics
Boss Paul Holleran today began the countdown to next Saturday's FA Cup showdown with Sutton Coldfield by declaring: "It's Rushall's biggest game for years."
Olympic, who were without a fixture today because of Slimbridge's late withdrawal from the league, will entertain their Southern One Midlands rivals at Dales Lane in the second qualifying round.
And with significant prize money and the chance to move to within two rounds of the first round proper at stake, Holleran is predicting an enthralling battle.
"There is a lot at stake next weekend and we couldn't ask for anything more than a home game against a team in our league," said the Pics boss.
"Once you get to the third qualifying round the games just get bigger and bigger and it's going to be a good day for one of us.
"Without a doubt it's the biggest game of our season so far.
"Because it's the FA Cup, at our level it's easy for the biggest games of the season to be played in September and October.
"With the prize money and a place in the third qualifying round at stake these can be your biggest games.
"For me, the FA Cup is still the cup, and if we could get tot he third qualifying round it would be fantastic.
"I imagine it's as big a game as Rushall have had for many years. Sutton Coldfield are a really good side when they play."
