Kidderminster are hopeful that goalkeeper Scott Bevan will recover from a thigh injury in time to return for tomorrow's home game against Torquay.

Bevan has missed the last two matches but he is expected to be ready to play tomorrow.

And despite heaping praise on deputy Dean Coleman, Harriers manager Mark Yates has dropped a major hint that Bevan will land an immediate recall.

Yates said: "Dean has done extremely well in his two games. It sounds silly to say but we conceded five goals at Ebbsfleet last week and he played well. He couldn't have stopped any of them.

"Against Droylsden on Tuesday his handling was excellent, his kicking was very good and he made some great decisions and made one or two decent saves.

"So he can be really pleased with his performances. But I told Dean at the start of the season that Scott was going to be number one.

"He had an outstanding season for us last season and deserves to be number one."

Yates should have a fully fit squad to choose from with Simon Russell now over his knee injury.

But he will be without midfielder Gavin Hurren, who starts a three-match ban after his sending off against Droylsden.
