Quentin Webster has seen enough positives in his young side to suggest they will fare well in Midland Three West this season.

They followed up a 13-8 loss to Camp Hill in week one with a 21-15 loss to Leek on Saturday.

Webster said: "We have had a couple of narrow defeats and it is our mental toughness that we need sharpen up. We have started games well but we need to keep going. That will come. There have been some real positives."The inclusicong on several of the club's colts has started to pay early dividends. Full back Ashley Patterson and Todd Mckinty crossed against Leek and the side should be back to full strength for this weekend's visit of Old Saltleians.

Cameroonian winger Patrick Onanga, who swapped Paris for Willenhall at the start of the season, is expected to be available as is flanker Jason Gillie, another graduate from the under-19s.

Webster added: "Physically we are coping well and certainly have the fitness but we just need to keep our concentration levels up.

Stafford's failure to convert pressure into points saw them lose their first Midland Three West North home game of the season to Shrewsbury. The home side played the better rugby but their inexperience showed at times and they lost 19-11.

Wednesbury were found wanting at home to early season form team Ludlow and went down by 54-3.
