Stafford Rangers go looking for their first win of the season against newly-promoted Salisbury tonight.

After eight defeats in nine matches, manager Phil Robinson is trying to reshuffle his pack by bringing in more loan signings to add to Cedric Avinel.

The 21-year-old defender joined Rangers on loan from Watford at the weekend and his arrival could be opportune with fellow Frenchman Djimi Sangare still trying to shake off a groin strain.

Robinson said: "I think a win would make a lot of difference to us.

"I still feel at times the players need to roll their sleeves up and play with passion to get themselves out of the situation we are in.

"That's what we need to do and what we are asking of the players."

Salisbury, surprise winners of the Nationwide South play-offs last season, are unbeaten at home this season.

"They are a very physical team and they have had some great results so far, but this is a game we are looking forward to and we hope it will be our first win of the season," said Robinson.

Player-coach Dave Oldfield could be drafted in if midfielder Kevin Street's injury has not cleared up.
