Rushall Olympic set up a home tie with Atherstone Town following a convincing 3-0 FA Cup Preliminary Round victory over their Midland Football Alliance rivals Boldmere St Michaels as striker Sean Dowdall marked his debut for the Pics with a fine brace.

First to really threaten were the visitors whose Jason Holmes neatly cut inside his marker on 22 minutes and struck a low 20 yard drive that keeper Tony Breeden did well to hold low down into his midriff.

The second period exploded into life with less than 30 seconds on the watch as Richard Beale's curling centre from the left channel fell nicely for Sean Dowdall who directed the ball precisely beyond the reach of Boldmere keeper Paul fellows from 10 yards.

An opening goal gave Olympic some much needed confidence and seven minutes later Lee Gough did exceptionally well to weave his way past a marker down the right and carved into the box where a low drive from the acutest of angles cannoned off the post.

It was little surprise when the Pics finally doubled their advantage just before the hour mark when increasing pressure finally told on the Boldmere defence as Richard Beale's inswinging corner from the right appeared to loop directly in at the far post.

Dowdall then went on to add a third goal.
