Halesowen produced a late recovery to come back from two goals down to earn a controversial draw.

With the injury stricken Yeltz trailing going into stoppage time, Shane Paul scuffed an effort towards goal following a goal-mouth scramble.

Merthyr goalkeeper Ashley Morris looked to have gathered the ball comfortably, but the referee judged the whole ball had crossed the line.

The Martyrs settled first and took the lead on 26 minutes.

Poor Yeltz defending from a corner allowed Merthyr's captain Andrew Thomas to bury a free header into the net.

Worse followed five minutes later when Halesowen shipped their tenth goal of the season as goalkeeper James Dormand allowed a soft Darren Davies free kick to go through his legs to double the lead.

Just when it looked like the Yeltz were starting to run out of ideas, they pulled a goal a back on 75 minutes to give renewed hope.

Wright again burst clear and this time he rounded the keeper before calmly slotting the ball into the net. But their late fortune saw a valuable point rescued in their third successive away draw.
