Continuing their perfect start to the season, Chasetown had to battle back from a 5th minute deficit against a robust Bishops Cleeve outfit at Kayte Lane.

It was not a good start for the visitors who conceded a dangerous free kick slightly to the left of a central position near the edge of the area.

Up stepped Luke Corbett to strike a rising set piece over the wall and into the top corner of the net.

Chasetown drew level when Nick Hawkins drilled home a low shot.

It took just three minutes after the interval for Chasetown to take the lead for the first time.

A deep corner from Mark Branch saw defender Vaughan Thomas produce an impressive leap to guide a header back across the keeper and into the far corner of the net to register his first league goal of the season for the Scholars.

There was no looking back for the visitors after that strike as Chasetown exte-nded their lead in the 54th minute through Perrow.

Dean Perrow then lashed in a spot kick after a red card incident for his sixth game in four games and with the game won, was promptly replaced by Paul McMahon.
