Skornicki back at Monmore
Wolves will be confronted by a familiar face when Belle Vue visit Monmore Green for tonight's Elite League speedway clash (7.30pm).
Polish ace Adam Skornicki, still a firm favourite with Parrys International Wolves supporters after first riding for the Monmore club seven years ago, is currently on-loan to the Manchester outfit after racing for Oxford last year.
His famous 'doughnut' celebrations after a race win - where he spins the bike on the stand - makes him one of the most popular riders in the country.
Monmore promoter Chris Van Straaten expects Skornicki to be a threat, despite his struggling scores in recent weeks for the Aces.
"I'm surprised to see Adam down at reserve for Belle Vue and it wouldn't surprise me to see him take seven rides," said Van Straaten.
"He knows this track inside-out and he will give the Aces some real strength lower down the order.
"In Joe Screen and Simon Stead they also have riders who have scored heavily here in the past, so I expect a night of exciting racing."
Wolves are in the driving seat for the aggregate bonus point in this Elite League 'B' fixture having already won 47-43 in the away fixture.
Wolves: Peter Karlsson, David Howe, Billy Hamill, Magnus Karlsson, Freddie Lindgren, Kenneth Hansen, William Lawson. Belle Vue: Antonio Lindback, James Wright, Joe Screen, Kevin Doolan, Simon Stead, Billy Forsberg, Adam Skornicki.
