The Baggies are the third League visitors to Marston Road so far this summer and, so close to the start of the season could provide Rangers with their toughest pre-season test so far.

But Robinson says the Boro are relishing the challenge of facing some of Tony Mowbray's first teamers as the step up their preparations for a second season back in the Conference.

And he's ready to continue his quest to strengthen his squad by casting his eye over some more potential newcomers - whose identities are being kept firmly under lock and key.

"We are really looking forward to having West Brom come to Marston Road," said Robinson.

"We hope there will be a host of quality players on show.

"There are a lot of West Brom fans in the Stafford area who I'm sure will want to come and see their players, but I hope the Stafford fans come out in force to support us too.

"We've done well against League opposition so far. We've drawn with Derby and put up a good display against Walsall.

"I've been pleased with our pre-season so far and the standard of our home games has been very good.

"But this is a step up in quality of opposition and it will be a good test to see how we are doing and where we are at with the season coming up.

"We have had a number of trialists playing in the games so far because we are still looking to improve the squad and we will have a few more playing tonight."

Robinson has promised Rangers fans they will get to see new signings Richie Sutton and Djoumin Sangare in action against the Baggies.

And the Boro boss is delighted with the way they have settled in.

"They have both done really well," added Robinson.

"Sangare gives us some pace and strength at the back which will need next season and I've been really pleased with Richie."

Admission tonight is £10 adults, £5 concessions and £1 under-12s accompanied by an adult. Transfers to the main stand are £2
