Bedeau is expected to leave the Banks's Stadium before the start of the new League One season after a nightmare year with Walsall.

But Money has revealed he will consider the former Torquay man for selection if he is unable to clinch a move away. And the Saddlers boss believes winger Bedeau will prove a point to the Bescot boo-boys regardless of where he is next season.

"While we're paying his wages why would I want to put him in the freeze-box?" said Money, who stressed that Bedeau will be part of his plans for as long as he stays.

"We've put him on the transfer list because I have a great deal of empathy with him. I've got no doubts in my mind that he will be a success wherever he plays next year and I think he could be a success here.

"Unfortunately the supporters don't want him so we're going to release him.

"It would be very difficult for him next year at this club because the public have made it perfectly clear that they don't rate him.

"So for his benefit more than anything else we're going to let him go and prove himself somewhere else."

Bedeau was placed on the transfer list as part of the ruthless clear-out that followed the Saddlers' League Two title success.

Five players were released outright but Bedeau has a year remaining on his contract, so will remain until he finds another club.

Money is still talking to winger Kevin Harper about a possible permanent move after his successful loan spell. But Money will not pursue Harper's fellow loanee Kevin Cooper.
