Stafford Rangers manager Phil Robinson today braces his players for "three cup finals" as they try to save their place in the Nationwide Conference.
Robinson's men kept themselves out of the relegation zone with a goalless draw at home to York on Saturday.
But the manager today began the countdown to three of the biggest games in the club's history by challenging his troops to complete the job of proving the doubters wrong.
"Most people had us relegated before a ball had been kicked, but with three games to go we have a great chance of staying in this division," said Robinson, whose team are a point and a place above the bottom four with a game in hand on the teams below them.
"They are three cup finals for this club and we will be giving it everything," said Robinson.
Manager Phil Robinson praised his players for their performance under pressure in the battling goalless draw against high-flyers York City.
"It gets us a point closer to where we need to be, although we do need to pick up more," he said.
"There was a lot at stake for both teams and I feel we created the better chances and maybe we could have converted one of those.
"But it is a very tense time of the season, it was a very hot day, a very difficult pitch to play on, so it was more of a midfield battle.
"I thought we looked tight and compact against a very attack minded team.
"We set out to try and win the game, but we feel this is a good point and we are full of confidence and looking forward to the next game."
That will be against old rivals Northwich, also at Marston Road, tomorrow night.
