Canadian defender Lyall has yet to figure in the starting line-up or on the substitutes bench after moving from Vancouver White Caps in January.

But Money has insisted the 29-year-old defender does have a role to play in the final stages of Saddlers' promotion push.

"Geordie Lyall is always in my thoughts when it comes to selecting the team," said Money."But fortunately for the club it's not easy for anyone to break into our defensive unit at the moment and that includes Geordie.

"He is working hard in training and I'm sure he is keen to get his chance to figure, but at the moment we're still not conceding many goals.

"He is coming along nicely, and, with the injuries situation as it is at the momen,t he might well find himself called upon sooner rather than later."

Lyall travelled with the first-team squad to Hartlepool yesterday.

The Canadian has been a regular in the reserves since arriving for a trial spell in late November but he has been made to wait for his first shot at senior action.

Money has also hinted that new Wales under-21 international Mark Bradley might also have a role to play for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old made his under-21s debut as a substitute in the 4-0 win in Northern Ireland on Tuesday and Money has been delighted with his progress.

"It's a great honour for him and when you reach under-21s level you are only a step away from the full national team," said Money.
