Harriers boss Mark Yates is keen to keep Constable beyond the end of his initial loan spell and has already held initial talks with Saddlers manager Richard Money about an extended deal.

But while the 21-year-old said he is "loving it" at Aggborough, his long-term ambition remains a successful career back at Bescot.

"I've tasted League football in my first season at Walsall and managed to get a couple of goals for them and that's a feeling I want back," said the former Chippenham forward."Playing League football is what I want to be doing but if I'm going to do that I know I have to work hard and that's what I intend to do.

"I'll carry on working hard here at Kidderminster until the end of January when my loan runs out and then we'll see what happens from there."

Constable has scored five goals in six matches since moving to Kidderminster following Tommy Wright's loan switch from Barnsley to Walsall.

And he believes the temporary switch has given his career a timely shot in the arm after beginning the season injured and then stuck in Saddlers' reserve team.

"I'm loving it here," said Constable, who was due to line up for Mark Yates's team in the FA Trophy match at Vauxhall Motors.

"It's great to be able to get back to playing regular football week in, week out.

"It's nice to be able to plan your week knowing you are going to be playing on a Saturday.

"I haven't had that feeling for while and it's nice to have got it back."

Yates and Money have already spoken about Constable's immediate future and the Saddlers boss has ruled out recalling the striker early from his loan despite his impressive form and Wright's three-match suspension.
