And after morale boosting back-to-back Conference wins over Gravesend and Altrincham, Yates has urged his side not to waste their golden opportunity to progress in non-League football's most prestigious competition. "The Trophy is a break from the league, but it's still a game we're desperate to win to make sure we are not a victim of a cup upset," he said.
"It's a great competition and we want to progress. It's a great chance to put the club on the map.
"And who knows where the final will be? It could be at the new Wembley and there is no better incentive than that for the players."
Yates has had Conference North outfit Vauxhall scouted and has warned his players of the dangers of underestimating their lower league opponents.
"We've had them watched and we won't be taking them lightly," added the Harriers boss.
"We have got to make sure we are mentally right for the game.
"They are a decent footballing side and they're good going forward, but we'll be looking to impact ourselves on the game."
With no fresh injury worries Yates has to decide whether or not to stick with the side that beat Altrincham at Aggborough last weekend.
It's a dilemma than presents itself to the Harriers boss because captain Stuart Whitehead is available again after recovering from a hamstring injury.
