Stafford Rangers defender Craig McAughtrie could miss his third consecutive match against Sammy McIlroy's Morecambe tomorrow.

McAughtrie hasn't played since damaging a calf in the warm up at Maidenhead.

Both he and midfielder Kevin Street, who suffered an ankle injury at Brighton, will face fitness tests.

Tomorrow's Nationwide Conference clash comes a week after both team bowed out of the FA Cup to Coca Cola League opposition and 11 months after Rangers dumped the Shrimps out of the FA Trophy when they were Nationwide North underdogs.

But manager Phil Robinson said: "A lot of water has gone under the bridge since that game. This is a new season, a different competition. They'll just be concentrating on what they need to do, the same as we are.

"The team don't need lifting - the supporters did that job for me after the game at Brighton."

Morecambe, unbeaten in seven league games, are second in the current Conference form table, while Rangers are third.
