The Seagulls bar the way to a possible third round jackpot tie against one of the country's glamour clubs.

Robinson is not bothered by the fact his Nationwide Conference underdogs have been written off as no-hopers by the bookies, even to get a replay in the second-round south coast showdown.

The former Wolves midfielder also says he's "not intimidated" by the Seagulls' 8-0 thrashing of fellow Conference club Northwich in the last round.

Nor is he daunted after seeing Brighton come from behind with 10 men to win a penalty shoot-out at Millwall on Tuesday.

"We have a chance of causing an upset," he said. "To be able to play against a League One team is absolutely fantastic.

"They're the highest placed team we've met since I've been here and if you go on that, it's our toughest task.

"Both Dave Oldfield and I watched them against Millwall and I can see why they scored so many goals (against Northwich). It just highlights what a dangerous team they can be and what a difficult game it is for us.

"But having watched them, we think there are certain things we can do to give ourselves the opportunity of getting a result.

"To do it, all our players must perform to their very best and, maybe, Brighton have a few players who don't perform."

Robinson also called on Rangers' 500-plus fans to make themselves heard in a stadium where an athletics track separates supporters from the action.

"The supporters have helped us on our travels this season and I know the players will be excited to see so many Stafford fans there," he said.

"As much vocal support as they can give will help."

Rangers have been boosted by the availability of top scorer Neil Grayson, who suffered concussion at Maidenhead a week last Tuesday.

"Neil had a full medical yesterday and a consultation with a doctor who has run a series of tests.

"Neil has been passed fit to play," said Robinson.

Doubts remain over defender Craig McAughtrie and midfielder Craig Lovatt - neither trained last night - although the latter has a better chance of being fit.

There would be no problems in defence where Liam Murray has starred when called on, and if Lovatt is out, Rangers' other loanee, Chris Basham from Bolton, could play.
