Wolves speedway skipper Peter Karlsson is braced for a return to action tonight. He rides at Avesta in his native Sweden for the latest in Tony Rickardsson's series of farewell meetings.

Karlsson will be trying out a custom-built brace to protect his troublesome knee ligaments.
And if all goes well, he is lining up a Wolves return on Saturday at Eastbourne in the rearranged Craven Shield tie against the Eagles and Ipswich.
