Secretary Mike Hughes says sales to Oxford fans have so far been outstripping those to home supporters, but a last minute rush is anticipated.

The game will have special significance for Rangers player-coach David Oldfield, who had two spells at Oxford and finished his League career there.

But injury-ravaged Rangers will go into action still smarting from their 4-0 thumping at Northwich on Tuesday night and looking for their first win in five outings.

Goalkeeper Dean Williams is still ruled out with the head and neck injuries he sustained against Rushden last week.

In addition, full back Nathan Talbott and midfielder Lee Downes are both struggling to be fit.

The good news for boss Phil Robinson is that Ged Murphy will be available again after completing his three match ban for his sending-off at Stevenage.

Oxford, though, will be without star striker Marvin Robinson, who injured a knee in Monday night's win at Crawley.

"It is going to be a great occasion against Oxford, a good crowd and hope fully that will bring the best out of our players," Robinson said.

"We have proved we can complete at this level and we will do. There are a number of things we can do better and will do."
