Father and son presenting duo Bradley and Barney Walsh are returning for a sixth series of their ITV travel programme, which is said to be “one of the funniest, dangerous and most heart-warming yet”.
Over six episodes, Breaking Dad will see the pair embark on another road trip, this time travelling through Asia as they explore Japan and Thailand while Barney pushes his father Bradley to take on a new set of adrenaline-fuelled challenges.
Bradley said: “It’s so good to be back on the road again with Barney. We really do have the best time but I’m not quite sure what he has up his sleeve on this trip, which is slightly worrying.”

The 64-year-old is best known for presenting ITV’s The Chase and also hosts the BBC gameshow Gladiators alongside his son.
In previous series of Breaking Dad, Barney took his father on road trips across the US, Europe and Latin America, pushing him beyond his comfort zone with an itinerary of action-packed activities including sledging down a volcano in Nicaragua, gladiator fighting in Rome, and skydiving in Los Angeles.
Barney said: “I’m excited to get stuck into this new adventure with my dad, and get him to experience the local cultures in Japan and Thailand.
“It’s going to be an exciting and adrenaline-fuelled road trip with lots of fun and laughter.”
The first series aired in January 2019 with the pair exploring LA and Arizona.
Sue Murphy, head of factual entertainment at ITV, said: “We’re thrilled that our very own father and son dynamic duo are back on the road, this time unleashing their inimitable charm onto unsuspecting Asia, as Barney continues to push Brad way beyond his comfort zones.”
The sixth series of Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad is commissioned for ITV1 and ITVX and produced by Hungry Bear Media.
Managing director at Hungry Bear Media, Dan Baldwin, said: “Bradley and Barney reflect so many father and son relationships up and down the country.
“This trip is one of the funniest, dangerous and most heart-warming yet. There are many different travelogues on TV but nothing quite compares to Breaking Dad.”
The series is scheduled to air later this year.
