One Direction star Liam Payne remembered at 2025 Grammy Awards

Clips of former One Direction star Liam Payne in his band days were shown at the 67th Grammy Awards.

During the ‘In Memoriam’ segment of the event which pays tribute to those in the music industry who have died over the past year, including clips of the Wolverhampton-born star in his band days followed by an image of the late singer smiling.

Payne died following a fall from the balcony of his hotel room in Argentina in October.

Chris Martin sang ‘All My Love’ during the segment and people flocked to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts on the “beautiful” tribute.

One user wrote: “I’m so glad they gave him his moment and listed him as a singer, songwriter, and member of one direction”, while another said: “I love and miss him so much. Rest in peace angel.”

Many others said they miss the late singer and he will “always be in our hearts”.

Other musicians remembered at the ceremony include American actor and singer Kris Kristofferson and Tito Jackson – an original member of The Jackson 5 and the brother of the late Michael Jackson and American musician Wayne Osmond.
