Five men were arrested in police raids in Oswestry as part of a drugs operation. Five men were arrested in police raids in Oswestry as part of a drugs operation. The men, aged between 19 and 47, were all suspected of being involved in the production and supply of controlled drugs. Officers raided seven addresses in connection with investigations into the production of the drug GHB. Detective Inspector Gavin Kinrade, leading the investigation, warned people to stay clear of the potentially lethal drug, also known as Gamma Hydroxy Butyrate. A 19-year old man who drove after taking the drug GHB has been banned from driving for two years and ordered to do unpaid work in the community.   A 19-year old man who drove after taking the drug GHB has been banned from driving for two years and ordered to do unpaid work in the community. The court heard that Stephen Wayne Edwards, of Cabin Lane, Oswestry, had originally taken the substance for bodybuilding.
