The Rolls Royce of scooters
A factory in South Staffordshire is hoping to cash it in for Christmas – with the Rolls Royce of scooters.
At £325 a go, the machines don't come cheap. But they have been strengthened to ensure they can cope with any surface.
Stunt Monkey Pro believes it is sitting on the next big craze to sweep the nation with the stunt scooters.
A staff of seven are hand-building the toys at the factory on Landywood Enterprise Park in Great Wyrley.
The scooter specialist business, which has only been running for 12 months, is now set to open a factory shop from 9am to 5pm every Saturday at its Unit 36 base. The move is to cope with seasonal demand for the scooters, which have wheels twice as big as normal for extra grip.
Directors Paul Yates and Robert Semple believe they are looking at a potential phenomenon with the scooters, an upgrade on their standard models.
Mr Yates said: "If we see youngsters tearing around on a Dirt Monkey once Santa has been we will be particularly proud."
