It might be a funny old game but when it comes to the World Cup football is serious business.

Pubs and clubs across the West Midlands are going South Africa silly, with landlords hoping off-target strikers won't be the only ones hitting the bar this summer.

They are aiming to score maximum profits over the next four weeks, with the British Beer and Pub Association predicting a successful England run could be worth £124 million to bars around the country.
