Hundreds of motor enthusiasts packed into a Black Country park for an annual classic car show.

More than 140 cars were on display at Baggeridge Country Park, from fine old Fords to Jaguars and pristine Porsches.

There was also a host of old motorbikes and scooters on display at yesterday's Classic Car Rally at the park near Sedgley.

Full time carer Chris Slater showed off his 1974 Ford Gran Torino Sport, which he bought 16 years ago.

The 47-year-old said: "I often bring my Ford along to these shows. "here are always plenty of people who ask me where I got it from and about its history. This type of car has featured in films and the 1974 model was used in Starsky & Hutch."

Mr Slater, of Mayfair Drive, Kingswinford, added he had always been interested in old cars and once drove a bride and groom to the church in his Ford.

Another classic car owner, Ruth Lowe, had something to celebrate after her white Mary Quant-style Mini was named Car Of The Show.

Show organiser Dave Daley, 38, said the event had been a huge success.
