A motorcyclist died in a road accident in the Black Country today.

A motorcyclist died in a road accident in the Black Country today. The man's Yamaha R1 superbike and an Audi A3 collided at the junction of Walsall New Road and Sandy Lane in Stone Cross near Tame Bridge Parkway station.

Unfortunately despite the best efforts of ambulance crews nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene."nextpage

The Yamaha R1 1,000cc was lying on its side by the central reservation this morning. The northbound side of the dual carriageway remained closed from the junction of Sandy Lane.nextpage
