Glenn Howells of Glenn Howells Architects, who carried out the design work, with the managing director of developers Urban Splash West Midlands, Nathan Cornish, inside a duplex apartment.

Glenn said: "Finding a use for it was quite a challenge. It was no longer useable as an office building so we started looking at a range of other uses."nextpageThe Duplex Apartment kitchen

Nathan said: "A hotel was originally considered. Then, we looked at what the building lends itself to, and at a very early stage it was clear that residential was the best use for it."nextpageThe iconic Rotunda building
