The Mills, in Millbank, will be launched over the weekend of April 4 and 5 by estate agents Knight Frank of Birmingham. Silex Land Ltd, which owns the site, has applied to the borough council for permission to demolish the front boundary wall and single storey lean-to buildings opposite the JD Wetherspoon pub and new bar The Yard, which opened last year.nextpage

MillsThe 4,047 sq ft restaurant and bar will take up the ground floor of the building with two-and-a-half floors of apartments - two full floors and a third in the roofspace with dormer windows. Knight Frank says the apartments will start at £95,000 and will be equipped with designer fitted kitchens, bathroom suites and many will have balconies with river views. Silex bought part of the site from Stafford Borough Council for £45,000.
