'Council are quite happy to keep taking' - Your Letters: March 6
PARKING FEES SPIN BY COUNCIL
Councillor Patrick Harley leader of Dudley Council tells us the wonderful news that car parking charges will be frozen for the next five years.
What he really means is that we are going to have high parking charges for the next five years. It is typical political spin, tell us something that sounds like good news but in reality, it's bad news. What would have been good news if he had said, when the council debt decreases, we will once again reduce the parking charges. However just like the old saying "much wants more" the council are quite happy to keep taking and care not a jot about residents.
So please don't be taken in with this update. It's not a saving but is an already overpriced charge and proven by the almost empty Dudley car parks.
