PLANNING NOTICE TRIAL IS REVEALED

Regarding the savings proposed by Dudley Council, I wonder how many residents are aware of the following which I have been informed is currently a trial:

Dudley Council Planning Update:

“From 1 July 2024 we will no longer be sending notification letters advising of planning applications made on, adjacent or near your property. To make sure you don’t miss anything, please sign up for My Alerts”.

I only discovered this update on 28 December 2024 after by chance spotting a planning application taped to a nearby lamppost, re a large first storey rear addition to our next door neighbours bungalow, with comments to be made by end of October 2024, so missing any opportunity for comment!
