I'M A NIMBY FOR A GOOD REASON

I found Mark Andrews’ feature interesting about what the government is saying about so called Nimbys.

Apparently these caring people who are worried about the environment and the impact on local services are going to be blocked from any appeals.

In other words make any opposition hard.

I suppose you could call me a Nimby as I along with hundreds of others campaigned for years against the West Midlands Interchange.

This monstrosity will impact Coven, Brewood, Calf Heath and Penkridge to name but a few.

The work has just begun on the A449 and it looks truly awful.

There have been dozens of trees chopped down and it's changed the once lovely landscape forever.
