NO CHANGE FROM PAY MACHINES

They are a crafty lot. It appears that the new car parking charges in Dudley are not as stated. The charge for one hour is £1.80 but when a person who only has £2 coin the change of 20p is not forthcoming and therefore the actual charge is £2 and Dudley Council profit by a further 20p.

How can this be correct? The few people who now use the car parking facility may not have the will or the ability or want, to pay by phone connection. We all know that 20p is not a lot but it's better in our pockets than a council that seeks to profit from underhand accounting.

Come on Dudley Council. Install machines that give change. We are miffed at the outrageous charges anyway, and to keep that 20p shows you in a bad light.

The car park at Kingswinford that was attended was once well used but now it could be seen to be lacking in vehicles. It must be like this at all other Dudley car parks.
