DON'T FORGET THE TORY'S RECORD
Several letters lately have implied that the Conservative administration that was swept from power in July was not really all that bad after all.
Well, the fact is the Tory government really was that bad - responsible for failing public services and spiralling living costs while treating the British public with contempt.
One letter referred to Sir Keir Starmer ‘complaining’ about (and I quote) ‘the £22 million black hole reputedly left by the last government’. Well, it was not a £22 million black hole but a £22 billion black hole, and surely it is incumbent upon any incoming Prime Minister to make us all aware of such a shocking situation, and entirely reasonable to highlight just how bad things had become prior to the General Election.
It will take time, of course it will, but this Labour Government will transform this country for the better.
