A WONDERFUL VISIT FOR SERVICE

We attended the wonderful Bridgnorth Remembrance service last year whilst visiting family and decided to do the same again this year.

Once again, we were really surprised, touched and impressed with the professional organisation, respect and inspiration of the entire event.

We were moved by the huge attendance, which seemed to be even more than last year. We have never seen so many people take part in a town's Remembrance service. It was so busy.

The British Legion chairman John Whitty spoke with us explaining the event, history and asking about our military relatives. He kindly invited us to join the parade in memory of our military relatives, which was very kind and thoughtful. Participating in the large parade with military veterans, made us feel so proud to walk in their memory. The setting within the castle grounds was just perfect with the war memorial and the hedges reflecting the three services (Army, Navy and Air Force). Mr Whitty explained this so eloquently in his touching speech. The military band played the old war time favourites. The veterans with their flags and the last post being played were all very moving.
