LETTER: 'Dangerous bike craze' heads for Stourbridge High Street
A new craze has hit Stourbridge Town Centre. It is foolhardy and dangerous.
Published
Youths frequently cycle down High Street on the rear wheel of their bikes.
Usually this takes place early evening and sometimes cars have to back up behind them, as there is no room for them to overtake.
Recently I approached three cyclists I’d just seen riding down the High Street as they were stood, with their bikes near, the fountain in the Rye Market.
I approached them and pointed out that what they were doing was a danger to themselves and other people.
I was met with a string of verbal abuse.
Surely, it is not rocket science for the authorities to put an end to this craze.
