Fearful over post-Brexit trade deals

There are reports in the media that the government has set up post-Brexit trade deals, to supply military equipment to various countries not known for a long history of social democracy.

These will only be one-off deals, or perhaps a deal every 12 months.

What concerns me is the trade we have to do every day with EU countries, in order to supply us with essentials such as dairy products.

What will be the future of those deals?

One minister said we would have to produce more of our own food, but that would be very difficult.

Our agriculture industry produces only four percent of our gross domestic product, and relies heavily on migrant labour. Indeed, we may have to export a greater proportion of the food we produce in order to pay for more expensive imports.

These vitally important and complex questions were not discussed at before the vote.

At least since Roman times we have been a trading nation we need as much free-trade as possible if we are to survive.
