Starmer’s emotions don’t move me

Hey! This bloke must be worth listening to. He’s a KCB and a QC....not to mention a Bachelor of Civil Law from Oxford.

Sir Keir Starmer

Labour seem to think they will always have a trump card even when Jezza and the rest fail to put forward an argument that makes any sense at all. Here they say is a man of integrity, a man who you’d turn to if you’re in a tight corner over your human rights, a man strong in body and mind; a kind of British oak they might have used in our ships at Trafalgar.

Who is this paragon; this epitome of all that is British, this saviour of the nation I hear you cry?

I speak of course of Sir Keir Starmer. In the event of a volcano erupting on Sedgley Beacon, Labour would come to power and take over Brexit negotiations. Judging by what I hear both on TV and radio, this man and only this man would take us through Brexit and into the bright and shining uplands of a New Britain.

How you ask will he succeed where the might of the Tories is failing? Well it’s in the delivery. Watch him on TV. The man is almost tearful as he beseeches us all to recognise that without going on our hands and knees and wearing only hair shirts for warmth, those giants in Europe will not even throw a crumb of sustenance our way. He and only he I feel can wheedle and weasel his way into the stony hearts of those implacable EU bureaucrats.

Listening to him this morning on The Today Prog, just before he had sent me back to sleep, I too was in tears.....at the devastating thought of him ever getting within 100 miles of the negotiating table.
