Well done on plastic bag axe
Tesco has announced its intention to stop selling 5p plastic carrier bags. Let’s hope all superstores follow this initiative.
Shoppers have decided to recycle with ‘a bag for a lifetime’ or bring their own bags. Local streets, gardens, open land trees and hedgerows will be cleaner and tidier as a result. The fate of the 5p bag you hastily purchased can seem insignificant. No, both nature and our local environment are better off without plastic pollution.
Become a reformed bag-aholic, change your ways too. There is hope for us all.
Cheap plastic bags belong in the bin permanently. Our streams, canals, rivers, streets and local places will all benefit from less plastic pollution.
Well done superstores, now let’s all play our part in resisting one-off plastic bags, or household items that are ruining England’s green and pleasant land and polluting our waterways and seas.
