Brexit supporters need to leave La La Land right now

It is high time supporters of Brexit, and politicians in general, left La La Land and came back into the gritty, practical world.

I still read in your paper nonsense about the EU having more to lose than us.

Per head of population we export five-and-a-half times more to the EU than they export to us.

They can absorb their lost sales by increased inter-trading, we will never be able to fully replace our EU exports and to increase any of these exports outside of the EU will be a very long and difficult task.

People like Lord Bamford and James Dyson say we have nothing to fear from leaving the EU.

Yes, they would say that because they already have huge manufacturing facilities outside of the EU to take advantage of cheap and less troublesome labour and cheaper parts.

Politicians desperately say that we can do deals with the USA and Australia; yes, because they want to reduce our exports and increase their own.

Young people, Jeremy Corbyn is taking advantage of your naivity, there is no way he can deliver on his manifesto promises without bringing this country to its financial knees.

In fact, he has to say things to appeal to his masters; not you and me but the unions.

I have been voting since 1954 and I have never known this country as detached from reality as it is today.
