It’s even riskier facing cyclists
I’ve just watched a news item bemoaning the risks of being a cyclist on today’s roads.
I had to smile; as earlier today I was driving along Fordhouse Road in Wolverhampton and a pedestrian with his back to me stepped into the road ahead of me.
I braked and waited for oncoming traffic to pass before I could pass him.
The reason he had stepped into the road was because two twenty-something cyclists were riding towards him on the footpath.
The young man and woman didn’t even acknowledge the pedestrian who they had forced into the road.
It’s supposedly risky being a cyclist – but, definitely risky being a pedestrian when cyclists are about.
