Who cares who the West Midlands mayor is?

I couldn’t even be bothered to vote because just like the Police Commissioner I see absolutely no point.

I have a chief constable so why do I need another level of administration?

I have a lord mayor, a council leader and now a mayor of the West Midlands who spent over a million pounds being elected, and why would anyone running a successful company with a name of John Lewis, give up that job to take on a £80k-a-year job?

The whole thing is nothing more than some type of political charade that will result in the mayor appointing another team of unelected people around him to sit and talk to the police commissioners group of unelected people.

We won’t see the homes he promised nor all the job opportunities he talked about.

So who is mayor?

I couldn’t care less.
