“Tories to kick out low-paid migrants,” trumpets a headline in the Daily Telegraph.
Hang on. Are these the same Tories who had 14 years in power and twiddled their thumbs while every tide brought a new consignment of bearded young men claiming to be children?
So take a big pinch of salt with that headline and never forget three great truths about migration: 1) Half the world is on the move, 2) There is no humane way of stopping it and 3) Any politician who tells you otherwise is lying.
