Dogs at polling stations: Pooches star in paw-fect election Twitter trend
People today headed for the polls to cast their vote - and brought their pooches along for the paw-fect election day tradition.
As voters visited polling stations across the Midlands and the rest of the country they posted pictures online of their dogs to mark the occasion.
And the Twitter hashtag #DogsAtPollingStations got people sharing images of their pets in a trend which raised a smile on Twitter today.
