For Muslims, Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. To celebrate Eid, London’s mayor Sadiq Khan hosted a free festival in Trafalgar Square this afternoon.

The celebration saw thousands of people watch the likes of Safe Addam and Yusuf Islam take the stage, with various stalls for food, drink and other shops dotted around the square.

Everyone is probably just thankful that the sun came out for the event, which obviously makes everything better.
