Chester zoo is celebrating the birth of two critically-endangered Eastern black rhinos within a week of each other.

The first was caught on CCTV and delivered by 20-year-old Kitani, who spun around several times before giving birth in her sand-filled pen.

The second delivery by 10-year-old Zuri came exactly a week later and brings the number of Eastern black rhinos at the zoo to 10.

There are less than 650 of the highly-endangered species in Africa where there has been a surge in illegal poaching to supply the Asian medicine market.
