Works have been ongoing to install a rising main sewer for the new housing estate at Oak Lane, and as a result, entrances and exits to Catesby View and Himley View housing estates are being blocked as the queues from the temporary lights back up onto the roundabout and further back.

However, the cause of the main issue of not being able to access the roundabout is due to drivers entering the roundabout and blocking exits despite not being able to go anywhere, and some are just joining the queuing traffic for the temporary lights instead of allowing fellow drivers to enter and exit the roundabout.

Residents have been left infuriated, and one mother left a sign on the roundabout, urging drivers to "Stop being D***heads. Don't block the island."

Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for highways and environmental services, said: “This work is in relation to a nearby housing development carried out by a private company.
